Banana Layer Cake

A list of ingredients you will need:

2 3/4 cups - all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon - baking powder

3/4 teaspoon - baking soda

1/2 teaspoon - salt

1 cup - butter or margarine, softened

2 1/4 cups - Domino® Brownulated® Sugar

3 - eggs

1 1/2 cups - mashed, ripe bananas (about 3 medium)

3/4 cup - milk

1 1/2 teaspoons - vanilla

If desired, frost cake with Buttercream Frosting or Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. Cake can be baked at 350°F in greased and floured 13x9-inch baking pan for 50-55 minutes.

Instructions »

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. In mixer bowl, beat butter until creamy; add Brownulated® sugar and beat until thoroughly combined. Add eggs and beat until smooth. With a rubber spatula, scrape down sides of bowl. Stir in banana, milk and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and beat until smooth.

Spread batter into prepared pans and bake 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Place pans on wire rack to cool for 10 minutes. Loosen cakes from sides of pan with a knife and invert onto wire rack to cool completely. Frost with desired frosting.

Makes 12-16 servings.
