While we have heard from most of our employees, we still have some that have not checked in. Those who have reported in are currently located throughout many states from Texas to Florida.

Many employees have expressed a desire to assist their colleagues who have been so terribly affected by Hurricane Katrina. To accomplish this, American Sugar has established the Domino® Chalmette Hurricane Relief Trust.

We request that any employee who desires to make a financial contribution for the benefit of the Chalmette employees make their contributions to this trust. If you have previously sent a donation, it will be routed to the trust.

Each of American Sugar Refining, Florida Crystals Corporation, and Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida have agreed to match the contributions made by their respective employees.
