Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles
Ingredients List
- 3/4 cup – Domino® Dark Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup – butter, softened (1 stick)
- 1 cup – all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon – salt
- 2 teaspoons – vanilla extract
- 2 to 4 teaspoons – water
- 1 cup – semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 lb. - milk chocolate for coating cookie balls
- 24 – craft or lollipop sticks
Instructions
Cream brown sugar, butter and vanilla in large mixing bowl at medium speed. Slowly add flour on low speed. Stir in chocolate chips and water until you reach a dough-like consistency. Roll dough into 1-inch cookie balls.
Place cookie balls on cookie sheet that’s been covered in wax paper. Insert craft or lollipop stick in each cookie ball. Place cookie balls in refrigerator for at least 1 hour until firm.
Melt milk chocolate in microwave-safe casserole dish on high for total time of 2 minutes. Check and stir chocolate every 30 seconds until just melted. Do not over cook. Chocolate will be slightly clumpy. Continue to mix until all of chocolate is melted.
Remove cookie balls from refrigerator and dip into melted chocolate. Place on wire rack. This will allow extra chocolate to drip off cookie balls. Once all of the cookie balls are covered, use your fork to drizzle remaining chocolate over covered balls to create a design.
Store in the refrigerator. When serving, make sure to keep them in a cool place and out of the sunlight.
