Mango Bavarian Cream
Rich Dessert That Can Be Served As a Pudding or Pie Filling
Ingredients List
- 1 env. - unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup - Domino® Granulated Sugar
- 1/8 tsp. - salt
- 2 - eggs, separated
- 1/2 cup - water
- 1 tbsp. - lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups - pureed, ripe mango
- 1 cup - whipping cream, whipped
- 8 to 16 mango slices
Instructions
Lightly oil 6-cup mold. In medium saucepan, combine gelatin, 1/4 cup sugar, salt, egg yolks and water. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin is dissolved, about 6 minutes. Remove from heat. Chill until mixture thickens but do not allow to gel. Stir in juice and mango. In large bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually beat in ¼ cup sugar until stiff and glossy peaks form. Carefully fold in mango mixture so as not to reduce volume. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into mold. Chill until firm. Unmold. Serve with mango slices.
