1001 Gingery Snaps

Molasses lends a deep, chewy sweetness to these classic gingersnap cookies.

3 dozen cookies

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cups Domino® Sugar 1001 Cookie Starter Mix
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons dark molasses
  • Domino® Granulated Sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease cookie sheets.

In large bowl, mix together all ingredients except sugar.

Drop dough by slightly rounded teaspoons into small bowl of sugar. Roll to coat lightly. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 minutes. Do not brown. Let cool on cookie sheet several minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.

For larger cookies, drop dough by slightly rounded tablespoons into small bowl of sugar. Roll to coat lightly. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes.
