Baked Brown Sugar Bacon

Did somebody say bacon? Lovers of the crispy, savory strips will be head over heels for this sizzling salad topper.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound thick cut bacon

  • 1/4 cup apple juice

  • 3 tablespoons Pourable Light Brown Sugar Flip Top Canister

Yields: 1 pound bacon

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with foil. Arrange bacon in a single layer onto prepared sheet. Bake 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 2

Mix juice and sugar in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave 30 seconds; set aside.

Step 3

Remove bacon from oven. Using a pastry brush, coat bacon with sugar mixture. Return bacon to oven for additional 2 to 3 minutes to glaze and crisp. Watch bacon carefully so it does not overcook.

Step 4

Remove from oven. Cool 5 minutes. Drain bacon on paper towel-lined platter. Store in container in refrigerator until ready to serve.
