- 1/3 cup blueberries
- drink stirrers or short skewers
- 1 cup Domino® Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- ice, crushed
- 1/2 cup plain seltzer
- vodka (optional)
Wash blueberries; drain. Thread 3 to 4 blueberries onto a short skewer, put on a plate and place in the freezer.
Prepare simple syrup by adding sugar to water in a saucepan. Heat on medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently. Carefully set the syrup aside to cool completely.
Puree remaining blueberries in a blender until very smooth. Mix in 3 1/2 teaspoons of simple syrup and lemon juice; set aside.
Fill a tall glass with crushed ice. Pour blueberry puree over the ice; add seltzer. Place stirrer with frozen berries into the glass and serve.
For an adult cocktail, prepare as above and add 2 tablespoons of vodka.
