Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting

A smooth, creamy frosting so delicious, you'll be tempted to eat it by itself.


enough for 9-inch, 2-layer cake


  • 1 (12 oz.) bag semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 to 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 to 4 1/2 cups Domino® Confectioners Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Using a double boiler, melt chocolate chips over very hot water. Remove from heat and add 1/3 of the confectioners' sugar; beat until smooth. Add the remaining sugar, alternately with the sour cream, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla; beat until smooth.

Use on your favorite baked goods.
