Chunky Applesauce

Tender bites of apple fill this simple cinnamon applesauce.

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 medium apples
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Domino® Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS

Peel, quarter and core apples.

Place apples and water in a saucepan. Cover and simmer 10 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.

Break up apples slightly with a fork. Stir in sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon.

Stayman, Winesap, Granny Smith, Cortland and Fuji are some apple varieties suitable for making applesauce.
