Fruit Bars

Bake these fruit and nut bars ahead of time for a delicious grab-and-go breakfast.

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed Domino® Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup mixed dried fruits, chopped
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 2 cups crisp rice cereal


Lightly grease a 9-inch square baking dish.

Melt butter in a 10-inch skillet. Remove from heat. Add brown sugar and egg yolks.

Return pan to heat; cook and stir over low heat until mixture thickens slightly and simmers. Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients.

Cool slightly. Firmly press mixture into prepared pan. Cool completely; cut into bars.
