Spiced Homemade Iced Tea
1 1/2 quarts
- 6 cups water
- 1 cup firmly packed Domino® Light Brown Sugar
- 6 sticks cinnamon
- 6 whole allspice
- 2 whole cloves
- peel from 1 lemon
- 8 blackberry-flavored tea bags
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- orange slices (for garnish)
- ice cubes
In a 1 1/2-quart saucepan over high heat, bring water, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, allspice, cloves and lemon peel to a full rolling boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 15 minutes. Strain out spices and lemon peel.
Pour over tea bags in heat-proof pitcher or container; allow to steep 5 minutes.
Remove tea bags. Add orange juice and lemon juice; cool.
To serve, pour into glasses over ice; garnish with orange slices.
