Sticky Buns

Brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans fill these swirled sticky buns, topped with a mouthwatering cream cheese frosting.

INGREDIENTS

Dough

  • 1 prepared puff pastry

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons firmly packed Domino® Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup pecans, chopped

Frosting

  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed Domino® Dark Brown Sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

Dough

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 16 medium muffin cups; set aside.

On lightly floured surface, cut puff pastry into sixteen 1 1/2x6-inch strips. Roll each strip loosely, jelly roll style, starting with the short end. Place in prepared muffin cups.

Glaze

In small bowl, combine water, brown sugar and cinnamon. Brush glaze over pastry in muffin cups.

Bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown. Sprinkle with chopped pecans; continue baking 5 more minutes. Remove from oven.

Frosting

In small mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and brown sugar. Spread over sticky buns while still warm.
