16 to 20 strawberries
- 16 to 20 large fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup Domino® Confectioners Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon rind, grated
Remove stems from strawberries to form a flat base. Place on cutting surface, pointed ends up. With a sharp knife, carefully slice each berry in half vertically to within 1/4 inch of base. Cut each half into 3 wedges to form 6 petals. (Do not slice through base.) Pull petals apart slightly.
In small bowl, beat heavy cream, sour cream and sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in lemon rind. With pastry bag and star tip or small spoon, fill berries with whipped cream mixture.
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Use as a garnish or dessert.
Place each strawberry in a paper petit four cup.
For a light dessert, serve 3 or 4 Strawberry Flowers on a dessert plate.
