Colombian Natillas

This traditional Colombian Natilla will likely be a sensation at your next gathering! It’s dense and creamy with sweet cinnamon flavor in every bite using Domino® White Granulated Sugar Easy Baking Tub as well as Domino® Dark Brown Sugar to give it a complex sweetness with a hint of molasses. it’s fully gluten-free as well as super easy to make!

Ingredients
  • 4 Cups Whole Milk

  • 1/2 cup Domino® Granulated Sugar Easy Baking Tub
  • 1/2 cup Domino® Dark Brown Sugar
  • 4 sticks Cinnamon Sticks
  • 3/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp butter Butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon Powder

Prep Time: 10 minutes / Cook Time: 15 minutes / Yields: 1 Natilla

Step 1

Add 3 cups of milk, sugars and cinnamon sticks to a medium sauce pan on medium-low heat, bring to a light simmer

Step 2

Use a small bowl to mix cornstarch with remaining milk

Step 3

Raise the heat to medium-high and add in cornstarch with milk, mixing gently until thickened

Step 4

Take the pan off the heat and add in butter, mixing gently until well combined

Step 5

Immediately pour your mix into the serving dish, let cool at room temperature and then refrigerate for 4 hours

Step 6

Invert onto a plate, dust with cinnamon and enjoy!
