Brown Sugar Butter Syrup

This homemade syrup is perfect to use over waffles, French toast, pancakes, or oatmeal.

  • 2 cups Domino® Dark Brown Sugar

  • 1 cup Water
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
  • pinch Salt

Prep Time : 5 minutes / Cook Time : 15 minutes / Yields: 1 1/2 cups

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, and butter. Heat the mixture over medium heat and cook for 15 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, add vanilla and salt and stir. Use immediately over pancakes, waffles, or French toast. Store leftover syrup in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Reheat syrup before using.
